VesperCare - Kentalis

Welcome to VesperCare – Kentalis, our after-school care (BSO+) in Amsterdam-West. We are located at Jan Tooropstraat 11, right next to Kentalis Signis TOS. This makes us the after-school facility for children who need extra support with language and communication. We welcome up to 16 children aged 4 to 12. Thanks to our small scale, we truly know every child and tailor our activities and guidance to each child’s individual needs. Our team consists of experienced pedagogical staff who specialise in working with children with a developmental language disorder (DLD) or other communication support needs. When necessary, we collaborate with speech therapists and educational specialists from Kentalis, ensuring a seamless link between school and after-school care. We use both spoken Dutch and Dutch Sign Language (NGT) along with visual aids, so every child feels understood and can participate. After school there is always time to unwind and enjoy a healthy snack. Children then choose from our offer: creative corners, games, construction, outdoor play or simply quiet reading. During the holidays we organise themed weeks and short trips to nearby places such as Erasmuspark or the Van Eesteren Museum. Everything takes place in small groups, with plenty of calm and clear structure. For parents we provide clear communication: we meet the children at the door of Kentalis Signis TOS every day and we are easily reachable by phone and email. We believe it is important that parents feel heard and that together we achieve the best for the child.
