About this care
AI
Welcome to BSO Kleurrijk, located at Wiekslag 25 in Ermelo. As part of CKO KleurRijk – Christian Childcare, we provide small-scale, safe and homely after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Rooted in a Christian worldview, we create an environment where children can discover, play and experience, surrounded by personal attention, joy and love.
We work closely with four primary schools in Ermelo: Bernhardschool, Goede Herderschool, Beatrixschool and De Klokbeker. After school, children are picked up and welcomed straight into our warm and inviting spaces. Our pedagogical staff greet every child with a smile and a listening ear. Upon arrival, there is always time for a chat and some play. Afterwards, we enjoy a shared meal and drink together so everyone can recharge for the rest of the afternoon.
We believe physical activity and outdoor play are essential. Our spacious discovery garden features a sandpit, crawling tunnel and slide, and we go outside every day. Children may also – by arrangement – use the school playgrounds. Indoors, we have several themed play areas: a reading corner with beanbags and sofas, a construction zone, a home corner and a creative area with craft and developmental materials. Every afternoon our sports coach organises a tailored sports programme suited to the children’s ages and interests – from football and tag to skipping and relay races, there is something for everyone.
All activities are offered on a voluntary basis. Each child decides whether to join in. We regularly centre our programme around a theme such as ‘into nature’, ‘art and culture’ or ‘world kitchen’, adapting games, crafts, outings and sometimes even meals to fit the topic. During school holidays we run a special holiday programme with extra trips and creative projects.
Our Christian identity is tangible: we pray together before meals, listen to Christian children’s music and celebrate special holidays. We also teach children to care for one another and for people further away – for example, we support a ‘compassion child’ in Ethiopia and regularly send cards or small gifts.
We work with a stable, dedicated team of pedagogical staff who know every child and understand their needs. Personal contact with parents is vital. Together we ensure your child feels safe, loved and at home with us. At BSO Kleurrijk there is always time for a hug, a game, a story or simply a quiet moment. Because there is a time for everything – and we gladly take that time for your child.Read more
