About this care
AI
Welcome to KC ’t Echtenest, our integrated child centre located at Schoolakkers 2b in the village of Echten. We are a public Dalton primary school and a small-scale after-school care (BSO) service operated by Stichting Wolderwijs. Our motto, ‘from inside to outside and from outside to inside’, also guides our after-school programme. Children step straight from their classroom into the BSO area within the same building, making the transition seamless and eliminating the need for extra transport.
Our BSO is designed for children aged 4 to 12 and offers a maximum of 12 places, ensuring a warm, family-like atmosphere and plenty of individual attention. After a busy school day we provide a calm environment where children can relax, play and, when needed, receive homework support. Activities make full use of our green surroundings and the village itself: outdoor games, nature exploration and physical exercise are key elements. Inside, cosy corners invite children to read, craft or simply unwind.
Because we function as one integrated child centre, our after-school staff and teachers share the same educational vision and behavioural agreements. This continuity helps children feel safe and understood. Parents stay informed through the Klasbord app, where we share photos, announcements and the holiday calendar. The BSO is open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons; no care is provided during school holidays or study days.
