KC de Ontdekking

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum De Ontdekking, located at Beatrixlaan 23 in Asten. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12 in a warm, homely and safe environment. Our motto is ‘a safe journey of discovery in a homely atmosphere’, and that’s exactly what children experience from the moment they arrive: relaxed spaces, personal attention and the freedom to choose how to spend their afternoon. Our staff pick up children from various primary schools in Asten and bring them to our BSO. There, children can decide for themselves how they want to spend their time. We offer a wide range of activities: from creative arts and crafts and outdoor play in our garden to sports and games. There’s always a quiet corner with books for those who need to unwind, or the option to join a structured activity. Nothing is mandatory — everything is possible. We work with fixed groups and familiar faces. Every child has a mentor who monitors their well-being and serves as the main contact for parents. This creates a sense of trust and ensures every child feels seen and heard. Parents can easily communicate with us through our parent app, swap days or request extra care when needed. Our BSO is part of Kindcentrum De Ontdekking, where education and care are seamlessly connected. We are open Monday to Friday from 14:30 to 18:30 (Wednesday and Friday from 12:30) and also during school holidays. We look forward to welcoming you at De Ontdekking!
