Het Octaaf

BSO Het Octaaf is located on the ground floor of Kindcentrum Het Octaaf at Da Capo 4 in Krimpen aan den IJssel. We are part of KindeRdam and provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who have already started primary school. Our motto is “Toffe Tijd” (Awesome Time): a time after school when children can explore, develop their talents and make new friends. We offer a wide and varied range of activities. Together with the children we decide each day what we will do. We use programmes such as DoenKids and run weekly workshops that include drama, hula-hoop, cooking, laser-gaming, free-running, dance, yoga, singing, boot-camp and animation-making. Creative, sporty and educational – there is always something that matches every child’s interests. During school holidays children never have to be bored. With our themed programme “BSO Vakantieland” we turn every holiday day into something special. We organise outings, sports and play days and let the children help plan the programme, so every holiday stays fresh and exciting. Parent involvement is very important to us. We invite parents to actively contribute to the quality of our care, our pedagogical policy and the design of activities. Our parent council is always looking for new members who want to work with us to build a great after-school environment. BSO Het Octaaf is easy to reach by bus 97 and 98 (Olympiade stop) and there is plenty of free parking nearby. We are located in the same building as primary school Het Octaaf, with which we work closely, so children can walk straight to a familiar place after school where they feel safe and valued.
