In het Hart van het Hout

Welcome to In het Hart van het Hout, our child center located in the heart of the Mierlo-Hout district in Helmond. We were established through the merger of three schools: the Jorisschool, het Baken, and the st. Odulfusschool. With an enthusiastic team of professionals, we work daily on the development of children aged 4 to 13. Our child center is like a village - a familiar and safe place where everyone knows each other and where children can discover the world. We believe in the developmental power of every child and offer equal opportunities for all. Together we learn about life in a peaceful and respectful environment. For after-school care, we collaborate with Korein Kinderopvang. Both before and after school care takes place at one location, both inside and outside the school building. This allows children to be cared for throughout the day by a consistent team of staff. We also provide care during holidays and study days. We use the parent app Kwieb to keep parents informed of all developments. Our core values are developing, discovering, and meeting. Children develop in their own way and at their own pace, discover new things by doing, and learn together with others in an environment that invites play and learning.
