2Vikingen is a welcoming after-school care (BSO) location operated by Kinderopvang 2Samen, located in the fully renovated building of the Annie M.G. Schmidt School at Van Hoornbeekstraat 5 in the Statenkwartier district of The Hague. The location accommodates up to 70 children aged 4 to 12, offering a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can play, explore and unwind after school. As part of 2Samen — a social childcare organisation with over 70 locations in The Hague, Naaldwijk and Monster — we work from a clear pedagogical vision: putting children first. This means we see, hear and acknowledge every child for who they are. Our professional and dedicated staff provide a warm and secure setting where children can develop at their own pace. We support children in their play, emotions and development with care and attention. The 2Vikingen location is fully integrated into the school environment. We use the facilities within the Annie M.G. Schmidt School and have access to the playground and the surrounding Statenkwartier area. This offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play, sports, movement and creative activities. We work closely with the school and align our care with school hours and holidays. We also offer before-school care (VSO), so children are welcome before school starts. Parents can register their child from birth. We use a clear registration process via our parent portal and take preferences for care days and times into account.
