BSO IKC Stadskwartier

BSO IKC Stadskwartier is located in Kindcentrum Stadskwartier at Catharinastraat 9 in the centre of Meppel. As part of Stichting KindPunt we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a familiar, safe environment where play, growth and learning are central. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome children straight after school inside the same building as the primary school. We work with age groups because children aged 8 and older need different activities than our 4-year-olds. The programme is therefore tailored to each child’s developmental stage: creative projects, physical activity, cooking, indoor and outdoor play alternate. In this way we stimulate every child’s talents and offer a varied programme that matches their interests. We are open daily for care before school, after school, during holidays and on study days. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.; care from 7:00 a.m. is possible on request. All staff form one team with one shared pedagogical vision: every child receives the attention they need and is challenged at their own level to learn and discover. We foster trust in others, self-confidence and independence. Thanks to the unique cooperation between education and childcare under one roof, there is a seamless line that makes the transition from school to after-school care smooth. Parents can arrange an uninterrupted day programme consisting of before-school care, school and after-school care.
