IKC Prins Willem Alexander

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of IKC Prins Willem Alexander, located at Gansfoortstraat 3 in the heart of Vlaardingen. Our child centre welcomes children aged 4 to 13 and is open 52 weeks a year from 07:00 to 18:30. We organise care in three clear groups: ‘De Appeltjes van Oranje’ for children in Year 1, ‘De Groene Draeck’ for children in Years 2, 3 and 4, and ‘Oranje Boven’ for children from Year 5 upwards. Every day our qualified pedagogical staff provide a varied and challenging programme of activities. Children can join in or simply enjoy free play in our spacious outdoor area. During school holidays we run holiday care packed with sporty, active, cultural and creative activities plus exciting excursions. We also offer BSO-plus care on teacher-training days. All arrangements are handled through the UN1EK service desk, giving parents easy access to the Parent Portal and allowing them to apply for childcare allowance via the Dutch Tax Office. We use the digital tracking system SCOL to monitor each child’s well-being and discuss the observations with parents and teachers at least once a year. Our goal is to ensure every child feels safe, seen and stimulated while in our after-school care.
