BSO Fontein

BSO Fontein is located inside primary school De Bron in the Frankrijk district of Harderwijk. We provide after-school care for up to 46 children aged 4 to 12. Our setting consists of two dedicated BSO rooms that are fully tailored to the needs of school-age children. Close cooperation with the primary school and the playgroup ensures that children feel at home and that we can respond optimally to their development. Our before-school care (VSO) starts at 7:00 a.m. Children can wake up gently with a game, craft activity or free play. Our pedagogical staff member personally accompanies each child to the classroom and, if necessary, consults with the teacher so that the school day starts smoothly. Immediately after school, after-school care begins. Children in years 1 and 2 are collected from their teacher; children from year 3 onwards come to the BSO on their own. We always start together at the table with a moment of calm and connection. On a long BSO day we share a sandwich together; on a short day the children receive fresh fruit and a rice cake or cracker. During this group moment we exchange stories about the school day and let the children themselves suggest fun activities. Our activity programme is broad and tailored to the children’s interests: we craft, build, play outside and organise sports and games. At the same time, we provide space to unwind from school, relax or play freely. The continuous developmental line of each child is central; we see and value every child. During school holidays we organise holiday care. Children from different BSO locations then come together at one location, creating lively and varied holiday programmes. Parents are informed in good time about the exact location and can register their child(ren) flexibly.
