IKC De Tjalk

Welcome to IKC De Tjalk, located in the Leyens district of Zoetermeer. We are an integral child centre where childcare and education come together under one roof. Junis Kinderopvang provides out-of-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. Thanks to a unique collaboration between OPOZ, the municipality and Junis, our BSO groups have access to the gym, the library and a large adventurous playground. After school, children are collected on foot or by bicycle bus from nearby primary schools, ensuring they arrive safely. At IKC De Tjalk’s BSO, every day brings something new. After school, children can relax with a Donald Duck magazine on the sofa, get creative in our arts-and-crafts corner or cook something tasty together in the kitchen. We also run sports and games in the gym and make full use of the spacious outdoor areas. Before school, the day starts together in our breakfast club: sharing breakfast and playing until it is time for class. During holidays we offer vacation care from 07:30 to 18:30 with a varied programme including outings and themed days. Our professional pedagogical staff are ready every day to give children a safe, challenging and enjoyable time. We work from one shared vision with the school, ensuring children’s development flows seamlessly between education and childcare.
