IKC De Regenboog

Welcome to BSO De Regenboog at Parksingel 7 in the centre of Bemmel. We are part of Integral Child Centre De Regenboog, where primary school De Regenboog, toddler care, day-care and our after-school care join forces. Our after-school groups Blue and Red (ages 4-12) are located in the branch on Parksingel; groups Green and Orange are housed in the school building on Bloemenstraat. After school, the children walk to the after-school location together with our pedagogical staff. We work with vertical base groups: younger and older children share a homely environment. Siblings stay together and learn from and with each other. We pick up children from primary schools De Borgwal and Pius X with our after-school bus, allowing parents to work or study worry-free. Our activity programme is built around six themes chosen together with the children: Move (sports and movement games), Experience (outdoor play and nature activities), Click (digital skills, gaming, programming), Meet (cultures, collaboration), Experiment (science and inquiry-based learning) and Create (art, theatre, music). During child “meetings” the children tell us what they feel like doing; we follow their wishes and offer development-oriented activities where the process is more important than the end result. During school holidays we are open from 07:30 to 18:30 and provide a varied holiday programme. When many children are registered we stay at our own location; for smaller groups we collaborate with BSO De Abacus in Huissen. Children who normally attend after-school care elsewhere are also welcome during holiday care. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to give children a safe, challenging and above all fun place to play, relax and discover.
