IKC de Regenboog Bloemenstraat

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of IKC de Regenboog, located at Bloemenstraat 2 in the centre of Bemmel. Together with SKAR, we provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a familiar, colourful setting. Our two BSO groups – Green and Orange – are housed in the same building as the primary school, so children can walk straight into a place that already feels like home. We work with vertical groups: younger and older children share the same space, allowing siblings to comfort and learn from one another. The bright, playful rooms invite children to explore, play and unwind. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every afternoon to welcome the children and offer a safe, stimulating programme. Outdoor play is just as important as indoor activities. Our recently greened schoolyard offers plenty of space to run, climb, build or simply lie in the grass. Our motto is: “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.” We go outside almost every day, because outdoor play makes children happier, healthier and more creative. Children decide for themselves how they want to spend their time. We ask them to share their ideas and wishes – from arts and crafts, music or drama to cooking, sports, dance or free play. In this way they learn to make choices and shape their own free time. Children from De Borgwal and Pius X primary schools are picked up by our BSO bus, so they can join us safely too. Together with parents and the school team we create a warm, secure place where every child can develop at their own pace. An active parent committee helps us think and decide. In short, at IKC de Regenboog BSO every child has the space to grow, play and shine.
