De Optimist

Welcome to BSO De Optimist, a small-scale and familiar after-school care centre in Den Helder. We are located in the same building as primary school Koningin Juliana at Lijsterstraat 1. Our BSO provides care for up to 16 children aged 4 to 12. Before school, children can already join us. They start the day calmly with activities such as painting, folding paper planes, relaxing, building or crafting. We always have fun games ready; for example, draughts is a favourite. You will also find books to read yourself or to read to each other. After school, there is a wide range of activities. Throughout the year we pay attention to holidays and enjoy creative projects together. Children love to invent and make things with their own hands. Our pedagogical staff take the younger children (years 1-4) to class and pick them up after school. We are also open during school holidays. We then combine our group with BSO Super Tof, so that care is always available for your child. For non-binding information or a tour, you are most welcome at Lijsterstraat 1 in Den Helder.
