IKC de Lente

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of IKC De Lente, located in the quiet, child-friendly village of Abbenes. Together with IKC De Lente primary school we form one integral child centre. Our BSO has its own colourful room inside the school building where children can do crafts, curl up on the sofa with a book or play in one of the themed corners. In addition to our own space we happily use the large playground and the school gym. Every day we offer an activity, but because after-school time is also the children’s free time, there is always plenty of room to relax and do their own thing. Activities range from cooking lunch, sports and games, creative workshops to yoga. During school holidays we organise an exciting and varied programme that always includes at least one excursion – think of a trip to the forest, a playground or the bowling alley. Children are collected from school by our pedagogical staff or by one of Babino’s drivers. We pick up from both IKC De Lente and St. Willibrordus School: the IKC De Lente children walk to our room under supervision, while St. Willibrordus children are collected by car. Transport is always safe and follows a fixed routine. On arrival we share a communal snack and drink. There is a daily hand-over with the teacher so we know exactly how the day has gone. Our home group has a maximum of 20 children and is supervised by one or two pedagogical staff, depending on group size. Together we create a safe, homely place where children feel at home and love to come to.
