BSO IKC De Gaerde

BSO IKC De Gaerde is located in the modern Integrated Child Centre De Gaerde at Moerbeigaarde 60 in the Seghwaert district of Zoetermeer. As part of Gro-up childcare, we provide after-school care for up to 33 children aged 4 to 12. Our aim is to offer children a safe, challenging and homely environment after school where they can develop freely. Our spacious, bright building has its own gym, large classrooms and a private outdoor playground. The spaces are arranged so that children can choose where and with whom they play: from a quiet corner with books to a creative workspace or a place to move around. The after-school care works closely with the primary school located in the same building, ensuring a smooth transition from school to care. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up from their classroom after school and guide them to the after-school care rooms. We follow Gro-up’s vision: children are given space to grow at their own pace and in their own way. Learning through play is central. We offer a varied programme of activities that connect with the children’s world: think of crafts, sports and games, drama, technology and nature activities. During school holidays we organise extra trips and projects so that the free days are also filled with fun and challenge. Parents experience our after-school care as reliable and involved. We are open to their wishes and keep in close contact via our parent app about how the day went. In short, at BSO IKC De Gaerde every child feels at home after school.
