IK-OOK Valkenswaard

Welcome to IK-OOK Valkenswaard, our after-school care (BSO) located at Emmalaan 5 in Valkenswaard. We are housed within IKC ’t Smelleken, allowing children to walk straight from their classroom to our BSO after school. This close collaboration with the RBOB de Kempen schools creates a seamless and familiar transition for children. Our BSO serves children aged 4 to 13. We are open from the end of the school day until 18:00. During holidays and study days, we are open all day from 07:30 to 18:00. We pick up the youngest children from their classroom and, with parental consent, communicate with teachers to understand how each child’s school day has been. Each child has a dedicated mentor. We offer seven distinct domains: the living room, sports club, art studio, outdoor realm, lab, restaurant, and theatre. Using a planning board, children choose which domain they want to explore and with whom. Activities range from building and woodworking to sports, creative arts, or simply enjoying outdoor play. We provide food and drinks, so parents only need to send children in clothes that can get dirty. Our team of pedagogical professionals guides the children with care and attention. We believe every child develops in their own way and provide a safe, stimulating environment where children can discover their talents. Together with parents, we support each child’s optimal development.
