BSO IJgenweis

BSO IJgenweis – located inside Rehoboth primary school at Sperwerhoek 4, Waddinxveen – welcomes 46 children aged 4 to 13 every afternoon. Because the after-school care is housed in the school building, children simply walk through a connecting door and immediately feel at home. As a Christian BSO we start and end each day with a short Bible story and a song of thanks; children write their own prayers and thanks on leaves that are hung on the “I-pray-and-thank tree”. Our professional staff offer a varied programme. Children can join sports and games in the gym or on the playground, get creative in the craft corner, take part in a cooking workshop, or curl up with a book in the reading area. During school holidays and study days we organise exciting excursions to the petting zoo, the local swimming pool or the Zuidplas adventure forest. We celebrate Christian holidays and birthdays together: the birthday child brings a healthy treat and chooses a small present from our birthday chest. Food and drinks are included: around noon every child receives a freshly made sandwich, fruit and something to drink. If your child has an allergy or special diet, just let us know and we will adjust the menu. Parents use the KOVnet app to report holidays, illness or extra care requests and to view photos and daily reports.
