Ichthus

Welcome to BSO Ichthus, located at the same premises as primary school de Ichthus at Grote Beer 1 in Hoorn. As part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland, we have been providing reliable after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 for over 40 years. Our BSO is specifically designed for children from all primary schools in the neighborhood, including Zonnewijzer, Universum and Ichthus. This allows children from different schools to meet and learn to play and discover together. We make use of the excellent facilities of the Ichthus child center, including a spacious play hall and a special crafts room where children can be creative. We work intensively with the school within the 'Samen van Start' project. This means that childcare, education, welfare and the library collaborate to optimally support children and parents. Our pedagogical staff often know the children from toddler age, ensuring a smooth transition to BSO. At BSO Ichthus, movement is central to our approach. We believe it's important that children can move and play after a school day. We do this both indoors and outdoors, using the schoolyard and gymnasium. Our activities are tailored to the age and interests of the children, providing space for both relaxation and development. We provide care for up to 17 children, ensuring a homely and safe atmosphere. Our opening hours are aligned with school times and holidays, allowing parents to use our care flexibly. During school holidays we are open and offer a varied holiday program.
