Hoppas Dussen

Hoppas Dussen is located in the De Dussenaar Community School at Wilhelminaplantsoen 1c in the centre of Dussen. Together with primary schools De Sprankel and De Peppel, as well as the village hall, we share a modern, child-friendly building where childcare, education and community activities blend seamlessly. The location welcomes up to 60 school-age children who feel safe and at home here after school hours. Our team follows the Hoppas pedagogical policy, which centres on fun, trust and development. We provide before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO) on every school day, study days and during school holidays. Children are given all the time and space they need to play, relax or do homework. When necessary, our pedagogical staff support them with the last assignments, yet the most important thing is that children choose for themselves what they want to do. The indoor areas are furnished like a home, with different corners: a cosy reading nook, a creative table, a construction zone and a quiet spot to be alone. Large windows flood the rooms with light and offer views of Wilhelminaplantsoen. Outside, a secure green playground with climbing frames, a sandpit and plenty of room for football or tag awaits. In fine weather we eat outdoors and use the outdoor kitchen. Thanks to our close cooperation with the schools, we can escort children from class to the BSO without extra transport. Parents need not worry: we collect the children and bring them safely to the childcare. For questions or a tour, please contact us.
