BSO HMS Op Stoom

BSO HMS Op Stoom is located on the grounds of the Haarlem Montessori School at Louise de Colignylaan 3 in Haarlem. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend the Haarlem Montessori School. Our location is specially designed to offer a safe and creative space where children can express themselves after school hours. At BSO HMS Op Stoom, talent development is central. We offer activities that align with Montessori education and provide space for creative talent, nature, cooking, and media. For older children (7+), we have a special program that offers the freedom they need within the safe environment of our after-school care. A unique component is De Kookstudio, where children learn to bake, roast, baste, and blanch in a professional kitchen. Here they can experiment with flavors and develop their culinary skills. Our pedagogical approach focuses on the process of learning and discovering, as we believe the process is more important than the end result. We provide loving care and pay attention to children's development in a playful way. In addition to cooking activities, we organize sports and games, creative projects, and nature activities. We are also open on school-free days and offer vacation care. BSO HMS Op Stoom is part of Kinderopvang Op Stoom, an organization that works intensively with schools and offers various forms of care. We are proud to be an extension of the school day, where children can relax, discover new things, and further develop in a familiar environment.
