Kids Lodge Houten Nieuwe Schaft 17

Welcome to Kids Lodge Het Zonnetje Jeugdhonk, our after-school care location at Nieuwe Schaft 17 in Houten. At the Jeugdhonk, we provide after-school care for children aged 7 to 12 years in two welcoming groups. We create a place where children feel at home and can relax, play and discover new things after school. Our location is specially designed for older school-age children. We have a theater where children can express their creativity, an art studio for crafts and creative activities, and a cooking island with bar where we cook and bake together. The game room offers space for digital relaxation and in our cinema with real cinema seats, children can watch movies together. The spacious indoor areas with play levels invite play and discovery. We have a cozy living room to chill out, a challenging playroom and a library where children can read quietly or do homework. Our green outdoor space offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experiences. We work with a team of pedagogical professionals who understand that children in this age group need both rest and challenge. We offer homework help, organize fun activities and give children space to make their own choices. Together we enjoy bread meals with fruit and drinks, taking individual wishes into account. The Jeugdhonk is part of Kids Lodge Het Zonnetje, an organization that has been providing childcare in Houten since 1988. We stand for warmth, homeliness and putting the child first.
