BSO Het Wollige Schaap

Welcome to BSO Het Wollige Schaap, located at Heistraat 1 in Landhorst. Our after-school care is set on a small farm in the middle of nature, where peace, space and animals are at the heart of everything we do. We welcome up to 33 children aged 4 to 12 years. Children come straight to us after school and can stay and play until 18:00. We are open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, and close only on national holidays. Our mission is to offer “carefree playtime” in a homely, agricultural environment. Children help care for our sheep, chickens and rabbits, learn to grow vegetables in the garden and build dens in the wooded play area. This green pedagogy nurtures their curiosity, independence and respect for animals and nature. We work in small, vertical groups so younger and older children learn from each other and share adventures together. Our pedagogical staff are ready with a warm hug, a listening ear and plenty of creative ideas. After a busy school day, children can choose quiet time in our cosy reading corner, outdoor sports and games, or crafts using natural materials. Every day is different, yet always safe, familiar and full of space to be yourself. BSO Het Wollige Schaap is part of the United Agricultural Childcare (VAK) network and follows the principles of Green Pedagogy.
