Het Vlinderhoekie

Welcome to Het Vlinderhoekie, a small-scale after-school care centre located at Maria in Campislaan 255 in the Kloosterveen district of Assen. We provide care for up to thirty children aged 4 to 12. Since 17 August 2015 we have been registered in the National Childcare Register, ensuring that we meet all statutory requirements for childcare in the Netherlands. Our location is designed according to a small-scale concept, allowing every child to receive the personal attention they deserve. Thanks to the limited size we create a homely and familiar atmosphere in which children feel safe and at home. The rooms are bright and spacious, with different corners where children can play, relax or do their homework under the guidance of our pedagogical staff. Het Vlinderhoekie works closely with primary schools in the immediate vicinity, including De Lichtbaak, De Driemaster and Theo Thijssen School. We pick the children up after school and arrange transport to our location, enabling parents to work without worry. Our opening hours are aligned with school times and offer flexible, tailor-made care. During care hours, fun, development and relaxation are central. We offer a varied programme of activities tailored to the interests and age of the children – think crafts, games, sports and play in our garden, as well as quiet moments with a book or film. There is also plenty of room for free choice, so children can decide for themselves what they feel like doing. Our team consists of experienced, qualified pedagogical professionals who are ready for the children every day with enthusiasm and commitment. We believe in open communication with parents and find it important that you, as a parent, remain involved in your child’s development. We therefore organise regular parent evenings and keep you informed via our newsletter and parent app about all important matters.
