BSO het Stoerwoud NG49

BSO Het Stoerwoud NG49 is located at Nieuwegracht 49 in the heart of Utrecht. The setting is part of Kinderopvang Het Stoerwoud B.V. and offers after-school care for up to 16 children aged 4 to 12. The centre is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:00 to 18:30, as well as during all school holidays and on official days off. The team of pedagogical staff work according to an up-to-date pedagogical policy plan that aims to create a safe and stimulating climate. Every employee holds a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and is registered in the Childcare Personnel Register. At least one adult qualified in paediatric first aid is always present and the centre follows a clear reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse. Parents are actively involved in policy-making. Because the setting is small-scale (max. 50 places) no mandatory parent committee has been established; instead, parents are consulted in other ways on matters such as opening hours, nutrition policy and safety. The centre is affiliated with the Childcare Disputes Committee and operates a transparent complaints procedure. BSO Het Stoerwoud NG49 offers a homely atmosphere in a characteristic canal-side building. The rooms are designed to give children both rest and stimulation after a school day: there is a cosy corner for relaxation, ample materials for creative and sporting activities, and a safe outdoor space in the immediate vicinity of the Nieuwegracht. The pedagogical staff collect children from schools in Utrecht city centre and accompany them to the centre, after which they work with the children to create a programme that matches their interests and needs.
