Het Pienternest

Welcome to BSO Het Pienternest, located at Pienterpad 4 in the heart of Middenmeer. As part of Smallsteps, we provide after-school care for up to 52 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is part of a community school that also houses a daycare center, library, and three primary schools. This unique setting creates a familiar and safe environment where children can develop optimally. Our pedagogical staff pick up children after school – on foot, by bike, or by taxi – and bring them to our after-school care. We often start the afternoon with outdoor play in our own garden, where children can explore together with friends. Afterwards, they can choose from various activities such as crafts, cooking, or sports games. Through our app, we keep parents informed about how their child is experiencing the afternoon. We work from a strong pedagogical climate in which every child feels safe and seen. Our professionals guide children playfully in their development and help them build resilience and self-confidence. We believe that children should be given the space to make their own choices and gain new experiences in a familiar setting.
