Het Oerkind

Welcome to BSO Het Oerkind located at Sportlaan 1f in Bemmel! We are an after-school care facility where children aged 4 to 12 feel completely at home. Our dedicated team of pedagogical staff is ready every day to give children an unforgettable time after school. At Het Oerkind, we believe in the power of playful learning and nature experiences. Our location features a large natural garden where children can romp, build huts, and discover how plants grow. We organize weekly sports and games activities where children can release their energy on our own sports field. Creative challenges are also high on our program: from crafting with natural materials to creating artworks in our creative corner. We work closely with primary schools De Lingewaard and De Elzas, allowing us to pick up children directly after school. Our pedagogical staff pick up the children with a smile and guide them safely to our location. In bad weather, we use our covered bicycle parking with secure access. We take good care of the inner person. We serve a healthy bread meal daily with fresh fruit and drinks. Taking allergies and dietary requirements into account, we offer vegetarian and halal options. Our kitchen is set up so children can help prepare their own meal - a fun way to develop self-reliance. Through our Parent App, we keep parents informed of their child's experiences. Photos, reports, and important announcements are shared securely. We believe it's important that parents remain involved in their child's development, even during after-school care. Our groups are composed according to the vertical group principle. Children of different ages play and learn together, allowing older children to care for younger ones and younger children to develop faster through the example of older children. We offer quiet corners for homework guidance and encourage each child's independence.
