BSO Het Lijsternest

Welcome to BSO Het Lijsternest, located in a beautiful historic farmhouse at Broekwegzijde 193 in Zoetermeer. As part of gro-up childcare, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a unique environment situated in the middle of a residential area yet surrounded by greenery. Our location breathes the atmosphere of an authentic farmhouse with spacious indoor areas where children can fully express themselves while maintaining a homely feel. The monumental farmhouse offers countless opportunities for play and discovery. Inside, children can enjoy the figure saw corner, cozy TV area, or simply romp around in the generous play spaces. Outside, we have our own garden plot in the De Leyens neighborhood garden where we grow vegetables together with the children. Here they learn in a playful way that vegetables grow in the soil, not in the supermarket. Our pedagogical staff are known for their creativity in developing fun activities. Every day is different and always a surprise where you'll find your child. We work with a daily program full of varied activities that connect with children's experiences. During school holidays, we offer an adapted program with fantastic excursions to museums, playgrounds, cinemas, climbing forests, or bowling. We also regularly organize workshops such as breakdancing or creative activities like making soap. We have excellent arrangements with schools in the area for picking up children. We collaborate with IKC Het Plankier, De Elzenhoek primary school, Prinses Margrietschool, and Tjalk primary school in Zoetermeer Leyens. This good contact with schools ensures we're aware of what's happening at school and can properly connect in our care. Our BSO accommodates up to 57 children and is registered in the National Childcare Register. For children aged 9 and older, they automatically transition to our KIDSclub, allowing us to continue meeting their developmental stage.
