Het Kwartelnest

At After-school care Het Kwartelnest, located in public primary school 't Reigerbos in Zevenhuizen, your child will have a wonderful time after the last school bell rings. We have access to two classrooms and the auditorium, providing plenty of space for the most diverse activities. When all children have arrived at BSO Het Kwartelnest, we start together with a drink and a piece of fruit. Then we begin our packed activity program, which we always base on the monthly theme. We work with three groups so we can properly tailor activities to the ages and interests of the children. The Red Pandas and Green Crocs are the little ones aged 4 to 7, they play in the kindergarten classrooms. The Blue Butterflies are children aged 6 to 8, they have the auditorium at their disposal to play to their heart's content. Each group can choose from various fun play corners. There is a kitchen and shop area where children can imitate real life. In the auditorium there is a reading house, a cozy place with cushions where children can devour books. There are also a sand table and a sensory table. The sensory table is adapted to the monthly theme, so it always offers a new experience. Every month we introduce a new theme with corresponding activities. These can vary from cooking activities to games in the gym and from experiments to craft projects. During holidays we go all out with unique activities such as a volleyball clinic, bouncy castle and silent disco. Or animals come to visit us, which is always very special. BSO Het Kwartelnest is part of gro-up, a powerful network of maternity care, childcare, neighborhood work and youth care. Together we support child, family and neighborhood from half a year before birth until the moment someone can fully stand on their own two feet.
