BSO het Groote Huis

BSO Het Groote Huis is our after-school care facility for children from Geert Groote School I, located at Hygiëaplein 7 in Amsterdam. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12 years in an anthroposophical environment that aligns with the pedagogical vision of the Waldorf school. After a busy school day, we want to offer children a safe, secure and joyful environment where they can play to their heart's content and find peace. Our two group spaces together accommodate up to 44 children, with each space designed to create a homely atmosphere that contrasts with the school environment. We are there for children on school days after school until 6:30 PM. On Wednesdays, we only provide a full afternoon. During study days and holidays, we are open from 8:00 AM, so parents can also rely on us for care during these times. Our pedagogical approach seamlessly connects with Geert Groote School, with which we work intensively to optimally support each child's development. As an anthroposophical after-school care facility, we stand for an approach where each child is seen and valued in their uniqueness. We provide space for free play experiences, creative expression and social interaction, with the child's natural life rhythms at the center.
