BSO Het Buitenkind

Welcome to BSO Het Buitenkind, located at Wissengrachtweg 6a in Hulsberg. We provide after-school care in a beautiful square farm where space, peace and nature are central. Our location accommodates up to 20 school-age children from 4 to 12 years old. At Het Buitenkind, we believe in the power of being outdoors. We spend a large part of the day outside, both on our sheltered courtyard and in the meadow. These spacious outdoor areas are safely enclosed and offer endless possibilities for playing, discovering and learning. From building huts to studying insects, from running and jumping to sitting quietly and listening to the birds. We consciously work with horizontal groups, allowing children of similar ages to play together and undertake activities. This enables us to perfectly tailor our offerings to the children's world of experience and developmental stage. Our experienced pedagogical staff create a homely atmosphere where every child feels safe and seen. After school, we pick up the children from Basisschool Hulsberg, which is within walking distance. We start the afternoon with a shared moment: relaxing with a drink and something tasty, after which children can freely choose from various activities. Whether they prefer to romp outside, be creative, or just want to relax after a busy school day, with us anything is possible. Our vision is simple but powerful: letting children grow up in connection with nature, with room for their own initiative and development. No strict schedules, but clear frameworks within which children can be who they are. Because being outdoors does something to children: it makes them more resilient, creative and happier.
