Het Baken

We are ikc het bAken, an Integral Child Centre located in the heart of Harlingen. At our location on Johan van Oldenbarneveltstraat 4, we offer after-school care (BSO) for children in primary school years 1 through 8. Our BSO is open daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with optional before-school care starting at 7:00 AM. Our after-school space is located within the same building as the primary school, allowing children to stay in a familiar and safe environment. We have a play hall, a spacious outdoor area, a construction corner, a crafts room, and a chill-out zone. Every day, we organise engaging activities that focus on the child’s world of experience. We use DoenKids to provide a varied programme. Our team consists of dedicated childcare professionals who give each child personal attention. We believe it is important that children feel safe and at home with us. After school, our BSO is the place for social interaction, new friendships, and a lively atmosphere. We provide a warm welcome, with care and dedication, so every child has a pleasant afternoon. We are also open during school holidays and study days, so parents can always rely on us.
