BSO Het Anker

BSO Het Anker is located right inside primary school Het Anker at Distelvink 107 in Emmen. We offer before-school care from 7 a.m. and after-school care until 6.30 p.m. Children who attend Het Anker primary school are warmly welcome. Our qualified pedagogical staff pick the children up from their classrooms and make sure they immediately feel at home in our shared hall. This space is the beating heart of our after-school programme: children can help out in the Grand Café, experiment with healthy food, perform on the stage or play in the various corners. We provide challenging play materials and create a relaxed atmosphere where children can express themselves. Outdoors there is plenty of room for movement and discovery. On the school playgrounds children can climb and clamber, play football or explore the nature garden. All our staff have completed the Outdoor Coach training and, together with the children, invent new, educational and fun activities every day – think of crafts, sports and games, drama or cooking together. During school holidays and study days we organise extra festive activities, including regular outings, workshops and special projects. We work closely with Jiddo’s Activity Team, who specialise in sports, nature and creative activities. BSO Het Anker is a place where children can unwind after a school day. We see the time at the after-school programme as free time: children may choose to join in activities or simply do nothing for a while. In this way we give every child the space to develop in his or her own way.
