HeerderKOM is our brand-new after-school care centre located in the multi-purpose building De Rhijnsberg at Rhijnsburglaan 7a in Heerde. From 1 September 2024 we welcome up to 18 children in one base group, specifically for 4- to 7-year-olds from Het Talent and De Spreng primary schools. We are part of KOM kinderopvang, an organisation with more than 30 years of experience in day care, toddler care and after-school care in the region. Our ‘green’ vision is central: healthy, experiencing, movement and nature, but also sufficient rest, healthy air quality and sustainability. Green feels good! An afternoon at HeerderKOM is all about freedom and choice. Children spend their free time with us; it’s not about ‘must’ but about ‘may’. They decide whether they want to relax or engage in activities with peers. We offer nature- and movement-based activities and let children help decide on the programme, layout and food. If a child prefers to draw or play with Lego on their own, that’s perfectly fine! Our permanent team of well-trained, enthusiastic pedagogical staff provides a daily routine that strengthens feelings of safety and playfulness. Every child has a mentor; this professional is the fixed contact for child and parents and discusses the child’s development with the parents. We provide before- and after-school care Monday to Friday and holiday care, in collaboration with our other after-school locations in Epe and Wapenveld. Parents can choose from different contract types, always tailored to their personal situation. Communication runs through our parent app and during pick-up and drop-off.
