Groene BSO de Kaardebol

Groene BSO de Kaardebol is located at Harenbergweg 1 in Zutphen and is part of Dikkertje Dap Kinderopvang. We provide after-school care for up to 36 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our location is the first green after-school facility in Zutphen to receive the Green Childcare quality mark from Stichting Groen Cement. Being outdoors is central to our approach. Children spend most of their time outside in our spacious natural playground and surrounding green areas. We have a vegetable garden where children grow their own vegetables and herbs, a butterfly garden to discover insects, and plenty of space for climbing, scrambling and building huts. There's always a bucket with boots and raincoats ready, because we also play outside in wet weather. After school, children can relax with a cookie and drink, then choose what they want to do. We offer activities such as cooking and baking with ingredients from our own garden, crafting with found natural materials and creative projects. During school holidays we organize themed weeks with sports clinics, nature excursions and creative workshops. For children who need extra support, we have BSO+ at the same location. This is a small-scale group of maximum 9 children with two permanent pedagogical staff members, in collaboration with the Municipality of Zutphen, Zozijn Kind & Jeugd and Entrea Lindenhout. We pick up children from various primary schools in Zutphen. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with great attention and care, so they can relax after a busy school day and recharge in our green environment.
