Freekids BSO de Werf

Welcome to Freekids After-School Care De Werf, located at the heart of Integral Child Centre De Werf on Koperslagerstraat 2 in Zaandijk. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a warm, safe environment where fun, development and relaxation are central. Our after-school care is fully integrated within the De Werf primary school building, so children are in familiar hands immediately after school. Our activity programme is wide-ranging and tailored to the interests and developmental needs of school-aged children. We work with fixed age-based groups. After school, we start with a shared moment: some fruit and a drink to unwind, after which children choose which activity they want to join. We offer sports and games in our own gym, creative craft activities, nature and outdoor experiences in our spacious garden, and we regularly read aloud in our quiet corner. In addition, we organise excursions and themed days throughout the year, such as a museum visit or a sports clinic. We pick up and drop off children to and from nearby partner primary schools, including De Werf itself. During school holidays and study days we are open all day from 7:00 to 18:30. We then provide a holiday programme with extra outings and activities, put together by our activities committee. Parents can easily request care, book extra days or report absences via our parent portal. We send a daily message with a photo of a fun moment so parents can share in their child’s experiences. Our pedagogical professionals are ready to give children a great time after school. We work from a clear pedagogical policy in which safety, security and challenge go hand in hand.
