BSO Franciscus

Welcome to BSO Franciscus, located in Kulturhus De Borg at Babborgaplein 3B in the heart of Babberich. As part of IKC Franciscus we work closely with the primary school in the same building, allowing children to move seamlessly after school to a familiar place full of challenge and relaxation. Our after-school care is open every school day from the moment school ends until 6:30 PM. During school holidays and study days we are ready for a full day of fun from 7:30 AM onwards. We use two locations: BSO Franciscus Junior (in the day-care and toddler-care building) and BSO Franciscus Senior (in the school building). This allows us to offer activities perfectly suited to the different ages and interests of the children. Freedom of choice is central to us. Children decide for themselves what they want to do that afternoon. One time it might be enthusiastic football on our own pitch or an exploration of Babberich’s natural surroundings. Another time it might be quiet crafting, making music, or simply reading with a biscuit and a drink. Our experienced, enthusiastic and committed pedagogical staff provide active and varied activities daily within a theme that matches what the children enjoy. Think sports, games, creative workshops or technical challenges. During holidays we go the extra mile. We then organise full-day programmes where, for example, we go sports, hold a screen-printing workshop or light a campfire together. Everything is aimed at giving children space to develop and be themselves. We pick children up on foot from school, so parents can work worry-free and children can start their afternoon safely and confidently.
