BSO de Buitenplaats

BSO De Buitenplaats is located on the beautiful sports complex at Randweg 5 in Geldermalsen. We are part of RivaKids and provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Being outdoors is at the heart of everything we do: we play outside all year round, whatever the season. Our location features a large outdoor area with four football pitches, a tree house, a chill-out zone with hammocks and a campfire site where, under supervision, we can light a fire during the colder months. Our pedagogical staff collect the younger children from school; older children are allowed to make their own way to the BSO. We start calmly with fruit and whole-wheat crackers and enjoy a chat about the school day. Then the children choose for themselves: join an activity or free play. We offer 12 different sports, but also crafts, cooking with organic ingredients and creative activities in nature. Children come up with the most wonderful creations using natural materials they collect themselves. We work closely with local sports clubs and believe it is important that children learn to deal with their emotions and take good care of themselves and each other. Our BSO is small-scale and has room for a maximum of 22 children, ensuring short lines of communication and every child receives the attention they deserve. We are open after school and during all school holidays, including study days. Together we make sure every child feels safe, happy and at home at De Buitenplaats.
