Eigen&Wijzer BSO JKC Sint Bonifatius

Eigen&Wijzer BSO/Peutergroep JKC Sint Bonifatius is located at Kapellaan 3 in Dokkum and is part of the nationwide Eigen&Wijzer organisation, which provides childcare at 53 locations for about 2,500 children aged 0–13. In this Jenaplan Child Centre (JKC) education, toddler care and after-school care are united on one site, allowing children aged 4–12 to move straight into a familiar setting after school. Our after-school care (BSO) welcomes up to 22 children and is officially registered in the National Childcare Register. We are known for our small-scale approach, ensuring plenty of individual attention and child-centred practice. Eigen&Wijzer’s pedagogical professionals create a safe, challenging environment where children can explore, play, have fun and learn. Nature experience is a key focus: we spend time outdoors regularly and use the green surroundings of the centre to let children discover the beauty and value of nature through play. Our vision is simple: every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Through loving care, development-oriented activities and genuine child participation we encourage children to discover their talents and grow into self-aware, responsible and independent individuals. We work closely with primary school Sint Bonifatius, ensuring a seamless transition from school to after-school care and helping children feel at home quickly.
