Eigen&Wijzer BSO 't Bontenest

Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer BSO ’t Bontenest, our welcoming after-school care centre located at Spechtenkamp 232 in Maarssen. We are part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) WereldKidz ’t Bontenest, where Jenaplan primary school ’t Bontenest and Eigen&Wijzer work closely together based on a shared vision: putting every child’s developmental opportunities first. At one location we offer a complete package of education, childcare and development, enabling parents to combine work and parenting in the best possible way. Our after-school care accommodates up to 30 children aged 4 to 13. We receive the children in a homely classroom specially designed for after-school activities, and we also make full use of the spacious schoolyard and playroom. Each afternoon starts with a joint moment in the fixed group, after which every child chooses which activities or workshops to join. Children actively help decide on new topics and activities for the coming period, ensuring our programme always matches their interests. Our range of activities is broad and varied: play, sports, culture (music, dance and drama) and creative workshops alternate with free play and relaxation. During school holidays we run the famous Holiday Madness programme, giving every child a real holiday feeling and sending them home full of stories about challenging activities and fun outings. We believe it is important that children feel safe and challenged so they can explore, play, have fun and learn to the fullest. Eigen&Wijzer BSO ’t Bontenest has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 June 2015 under number 798000119. We therefore meet all statutory quality requirements and are supervised by the GGD Utrecht Region. Our goal is for every child to feel ‘unique’ with us and to grow ‘wiser’ in a safe, challenging environment.
