Eigen&Wijzer BSO Sint Lukas

Eigen&Wijzer BSO Sint Lukas is located in the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Sint Lukas at De Lanen 96 in Drachten. As part of the national childcare organization Eigen&Wijzer Friesland B.V., we provide after-school care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since February 4, 2025, under LRK number 948036400 and is supervised by the GGD Fryslân. We believe that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Loving care, child-centered working, nature experience, development-oriented activities and child participation form the basis of our pedagogical approach. Our pedagogical professionals provide children with a safe and challenging development environment, so that they are optimally guided and stimulated to discover, play, have fun, learn and recognize and show their needs. Children are actively involved in the activity program. By giving them ownership, they experience autonomy. They learn to listen to each other, consult, stand up for themselves and make compromises. This increases self-confidence and every child gets a turn with an activity of their choice. We offer activities that allow children to discover and develop their talents. A talent doesn't necessarily mean being very good at something, but enjoying it and getting energy from it. During school weeks we are open Monday to Friday from the end of school until 6:30 PM. In holiday weeks we welcome children from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM with our festive Holiday Madness program full of challenging activities, fun outings and in-depth clinics. We go on adventures or invite external partners to give children a unique experience. Our location offers plenty of space for relaxation, playing with friends and doing homework. We start each after-school day with a healthy snack moment in the own base group, followed by an organized activity or workshop, indoors or outdoors on the school playground. Of course, there is also plenty of time and space for free play activities.
