Doomijn BSO Speelhonk

Welcome to Doomijn BSO Speelhonk, our small-scale after-school care located in the green heart of Havelte. We are tucked under the trees right next to De Bosrank primary school, opposite the swimming pool and next to a large panna cage. This means that as soon as school ends we can run, play and explore straight away. We have room for up to 19 children from about 6 years old, so we really are a close-knit group where everyone knows each other. Everything at Speelhonk revolves around freedom and space to choose for yourself. Feel like playing football on the field together, quietly crafting at the table or reading a book in the pillow corner? It’s all allowed. Inside you will find cosy play corners full of craft supplies, books, cuddly toys and a dress-up trunk. Outside the fun continues: in summer we take a refreshing dip in the pool next door, in winter we use the school gym to run, jump and play. We also go out regularly – think forest walks, shopping or a trip to the children’s farm. Our pedagogical staff Richard, Marc and Maré are ready every day to think along, join in and above all enjoy the moment with the children. We believe it is important that children can be themselves and follow their own pace. That is why we say: “Playing in the mud? We do it! Trying something new? Go ahead!” We provide healthy and tasty snacks and drinks in between and make sure the atmosphere is safe and homely, with fun always coming first.
