Doomijn BSO Geert Grooteweg

Welcome to Doomijn BSO Geert Grooteweg, our small-scale after-school care located in Zwolle-South, right next to Florens Radewijnsschool. Children step straight from class into our warm, familiar space – no long walks or complicated pick-ups. We offer a close-knit group for a maximum of 30 children, guided by permanent staff who know every child by name. Fun and togetherness are our core values; everything we do, we do well and we do together. Nature is our favourite playground. The location borders a green schoolyard and is minutes from the forest, a petting zoo and a care farm. Feeding goats, splashing through puddles or building huts – rain or shine, we are outside in overalls. When the weather really misbehaves we move indoors for crafts, drama workshops or cosy reading time in our book corner. Every Wednesday we run a free football training at Windesheim University. Kids train, laugh and learn teamwork from 16:00 to 16:45. Regular trips to the playground or petting zoo, themed weeks and joint celebrations with the school keep the calendar lively. Activities are tuned to the children’s own wishes and abilities. We alternate between whole-group play and smaller age-based clusters, ensuring every child can join at their own pace. Our pedagogical approach encourages playful exploration, helping children discover talents and build self-confidence in a safe, relaxed atmosphere. Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 15:15 – 18:15. During study days and holidays (“margedagen”) we welcome children from 07:30 onwards.
