BSO De Zuyder

BSO De Zuyder is located right in the Zeehelden district, a stone’s throw from the Zuiderspeeltuin on the IJ river. We pick up children aged 4 to 13 from De Burght, De Eilanden and De Zeeheld schools and bring them to our own spot where the playground is already waiting. The location has room for up to 50 children and feels like a true neighbourhood after-school centre: kids from the same streets meet after school, share adventures and make the neighbourhood feel even bigger. Our heart beats for outdoor play. Every afternoon we run, climb and hide among the trees, climbing frames and grass of the Zuiderspeeltuin. Rain or shine, we head outside – it is part of our daily rhythm. We also work with DOENKids, a programme developed especially for after-school care, packed with sports and play activities. Children decide for themselves whether to join the group activity or do something on their own; the freedom to make personal choices is central. In this way they learn to play together, work together and discover their own talents. We are part of Prokino Kinderopvang. This means parents can count on clear agreements, a transparent cost calculator and a fixed point of contact. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day with a warm welcome, a listening ear and the craziest plans. At BSO De Zuyder no two afternoons are the same – and that is exactly how we like it.
