BSO Westwijs

BSO Westwijs is part of Kindcentrum WestWijs, located at Pampusstraat 28 in Rijsenhout. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a bright, spacious room built right next to the school. Our BSO has three fixed groups: the Cheerful Butterflies, the Busy Bees and the Jumping Grasshoppers. Each group has its own pedagogical staff member who knows the children well and understands what they enjoy. Play and discovery are at the heart of everything we do. We make full use of the immediate surroundings: the schoolyard with sandbox, climbing frame and vegetable planters, the playground behind the BSO and the adjacent grass field. We also have a shed packed with sports and play equipment. Inside there is a home corner, construction area, reading corner with dollhouse, light table and games cupboard. Children can always choose what they feel like doing at that moment: being creative, reading quietly or playing actively. Once a week Sportservice provides a sports lesson at Het Anker. This lesson is open to all children who want to join and matches their interests and energy levels. We believe it is important that children can be themselves and choose what they want to do. Children’s ideas go into the wish box; together we turn every afternoon into a celebration. BSO Westwijs is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2.15 pm to 6.15 pm. On Wednesday and Friday our pupils are cared for by BSO Papaverweg, so care always stays close and familiar.
