BSO Wervelwind

Welcome to BSO De Wervelwind, located at Sandestein 102 in Nieuw-Vennep. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Haarlemmermeer (SKH) and provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our building sits right next to the local school island, making it an easy walk for pupils of primary schools ’t Joppe and De Wikkeling. Every afternoon starts with a relaxed moment at the table: fruit, something to drink and a chat about the school day. On Wednesdays and Fridays we also share a sandwich so no one goes home hungry. After that, children decide for themselves how they want to spend their time—reading quietly, free play, or joining one of our BSO Fun group activities. Our monthly DoenKids! programme keeps things fresh with sports and games, creative projects, science & technology experiments, nature activities and music. Crafts are often linked to a current theme or charity, and we head outside every single day—either into our own garden or to nearby playgrounds. During school holidays we run an extended schedule packed with workshops and excursions, such as trips to Jeugdland. Extra attention is given to sport and movement through the Jonge Beweeghelden method. Our qualified pedagogical staff design a new activity calendar each month, tailored to the children’s interests and developmental stages. We work in vertical groups (ages 4–12) while always adapting activities to suit different age ranges. BSO De Wervelwind has room for 110 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010 under number 863962944.
