BSO De Vogeltuin

Welcome to BSO De Vogeltuin, our pleasant after-school care facility in Heteren. We are located at Flessestraat 15 and, together with childcare centre Koningskind, form part of the broad school De Vogeltuin. This close cooperation with Koningin Julianaschool Heteren and Basisschool Tuin 17 allows us to offer children a familiar and safe place after school. At our BSO, children decide for themselves how they spend their afternoon. We believe self-confidence is the greatest gift we can give a child. They may choose to simply relax, play with a friend, or join an activity. We do challenge them, but also give them a say at their own level. Our location offers plenty of room to play and move. Children can build, cook, explore technology, use multimedia, or be creative with arts. We provide various programmes that match each child’s interests and development. Our after-school care is open on weekdays from 14:15 to 18:30. On Wednesdays our BSO is closed. We collect children from the connected primary schools and provide care on teacher-training days and during school holidays. Our pedagogical staff are enthusiastic, committed, and highly trained. They are ready to give your child the personal attention he or she deserves and stimulate development in a way that suits each child’s pace. BSO De Vogeltuin has room for up to 76 children aged 4 to 13. We run two horizontal after-school groups: the Swingende vogels and the Stoere vogels. Children play in the playground of Tuin 17, where they have plenty of space to move and play. Our location has a parent committee that actively contributes to policy and the development of our childcare.
