BSO de Vlinderboom Amsterdam West is located inside the Free School Amsterdam West at Eerste Nassaustraat 7. We provide after-school care inspired by Waldorf/anthroposophical education. Our spaces feel warm and familiar, so children immediately sense they are in a safe second home. Our pedagogy follows the principles of Rudolf Steiner. Calm, rhythm and repetition are key; children experience security and are given space to develop at their own pace. We work with steady daily rhythms that match the child’s world of experience. The after-school programme is open Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:30. During school holidays we welcome children from 08:00 to 18:30. We can accommodate up to 61 children and are registered in the National Childcare Register under number 257433697. Because we share the building with the Free School, children can stay in their trusted environment after school. Together we create a second home where every child feels seen and valued.
