De Spil 3001

Welcome to after-school care De Spil 3001, located in the green Weezenhof district of Nijmegen. We are part of KION childcare and offer a home-like place after school where up to 82 children aged 6 to 12 feel completely at home. Our building is full of exciting corners. Children can choose to bake in our kitchen, do woodwork in the atelier, or relax in the chill corner. What makes us truly special is our stage with dressing-up clothes, where children can dress up and show their talents. We have four base groups – the Beetles, the Frogs, the Butterflies and the Bees – where children play and learn in age-focused groups. We believe it's important that children choose what they want to do. Our pedagogical staff prepare lots of activities and play materials, but the children decide for themselves what, where and with whom they want to play. After school, drinks and fruit are always ready, so there's time for a cosy chat before playtime begins. Outside, we play on the primary school's playground. We offer a wide range of activities so there's plenty to do for every age. During school holidays, we are open from 8:00 to 18:00, so childcare is also available during holidays.
