De Scout

BSO De Scout is located in the Triton Scouting building at Steenovenslaan 4 in Culemborg. We provide after-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is special because we share the indoor and outdoor spaces with the scouting organization. Taking care of the space together is not only sustainable but also creates a familiar environment for the children. Our large outdoor area invites children to play, run around, and make campfires. Children help maintain our vegetable garden and use the harvested vegetables and herbs in our kitchen where they can cook themselves. The indoor space is spacious and divided into two areas. Children can choose from various activities: getting creative with leftover materials, playing in the doll corner, playing games, or relaxing on our large couch. We work with one vertical group of up to 30 children, where siblings can be together, just like at home. Our pedagogical staff stimulate all aspects of personality through activities focused on social, emotional, and cognitive development. We are located in the middle of nature, with the Lek river within walking distance, offering endless possibilities for creative play and nature experiences.
